| KUALA LUMPUR: The Asian Leaders Gala 2025, hosted by the Asia Excellence Entrepreneur Federation (AEEF), wrapped up on a strong note in Kuala Lumpur, drawing over 500 influential figures from business, government, academia, media, the arts and sports.
Centred on the theme "Unity Beyond Borders", this year's event delivered far more than ceremonial pageantry. It emerged as a strategic gathering where Asia's most dynamic decision-makers converged at the crossroads of leadership, innovation and cultural intelligence.
Amid global uncertainty and economic headwinds, the gala dinner reinforced a clear message: Asia's next phase of growth will be driven by collaboration, not rivalry.
The audience reflected the breadth of Asia's leadership landscape, from rising founders to established tycoons, and from pioneering women leaders to digital-era trailblasers. The evening underscored the notion that excellence transcends borders and integrity remains a shared language across industries.
AEEF honoured 91 outstanding leaders across four flagship categories – each recognised as a benchmark of excellence in their respective fields. The categories were the 13th International Prestige Brand Award – widely regarded as Asia's Nobel Prize in Branding; the 13th Asia Honesty Award – a regional symbol of ethical leadership; the 13th Golden Phoenix Award – the highest honour celebrating women of achievement; and the 10th Malaysia Top Entrepreneur Award – recognising the nation's most influential business leaders.
The event's stature was heightened by the presence of Tengku Puteri Eebtysham and Tengku Long Hazlan of the Kelantan Royal Family, who attended as guests of honour.
"AEEF expresses its deepest gratitude for their royal grace and support, which elevated the significance and prestige of the event," the federation said in a statement.
The gala opened with a vibrant cultural showcase by the Legasi Seni Cultural Dance Troupe, offering international delegates a taste of Malaysia's heritage. The evening later featured a stirring vocal performance by Yeo Siew Chin, recipient of the Golden Phoenix Cultural Achievement Award.
Keynote speeches by Prof. Dr Robin Tan, world president of AEEF, and Dr Jenny Hoon, chairperson of the Golden Phoenix Award and president of the International Women Excellence Association, reinforced the gala's forward-looking agenda.
Tan highlighted AEEF's mission to strengthen Asia's leadership ecosystem through values-driven excellence, while Hoon urged greater acceleration of women's leadership across sectors.
Messages of support were also delivered by Datuk Azman Abidin, political secretary to the Prime Minister, and Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, deputy minister of Higher Education.
Notable guests included Raveena Desraj Shrestha, Tanaka Sonomi, Sandra Too Sheau Jiun, Yan Teck Hoe, Prof. Datin Wira Dr Janet Lo, Datuk Wira Lai Dix Son, Jack Tai, Dr Jodness Tan, and members of the Kelantan Royal Family.
Held annually, the Asian Leaders Gala continues to serve as a key platform for forging cross-border partnerships, strengthening regional ties, and igniting purposeful progress. Each edition reinforces its position as a premier hub for high-level networking, leadership advancement and collaboration across Asia's diverse economies |
